Pop's Customs Ukulele

Pop's Customs~

Introducing all of the beautiful, masterwork ukulele developed by the founder of KoAloha, Alvin "PopAloha" Okami. Each model made by Pops is unique with its own flairs, not just in the wood but in the engravings and decorations. Many will feature abalone fret markers and saddle decorations, though how these decorations are found vary between models.

Pineapple Sunday

Pineapple Sunday is the first of Pops' masterwork series. The Pineapple Sunday model is a concert-sized pineapple ukulele with a tenor neck that showcases Pops' mastery of woodworking. These models have been made with spruce top with pine or koa backs. More commonly, these models are made with solid koa on the back and sides. These models are all unique, with some featuring hand-painted art or pineapple engraving. The headstocks often feature the Pop's custom logo with a maple plate, though may also have a pineapple logo instead. Some models will also feature a side soundhole to allow the player to clearly hear their ukulele.

Sceptre

The Sceptre ukulele is a jagged, wand-esque tenor ukulele. Most commonly made out of solid koa wood, though it has been made with mango in the past, and highlights the ingenuity and ambition of Pops; these models feature beautiful round curves that come to points. Like the Pineapple Sunday, these models will usually feature the Pops logo with a maple headplate. Recently, these models have also been made with side soundholes. Sceptre ukulele are bright an twangy and are surprisingly very comfortable to hold.

Juke-A-Lele

The Juke-A-Lele is Pops' most recent addition to his masterwork collection. Featuring a mixture of koa, maple, and spruce, this model is truly a work of art. Small extra details add extra polish such as the small KoAloha logos on the side and the Hawaii state motto "Ua Mau ke Ea o ka 'Aina i ka Pono" ("The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness") on the bottom. This ukulele comes in both four and eight string varieties and is perhaps one of Pop's most ambitious ukulele.

Whichever model you go for, you know that if you are getting a Pop's Custom ukulele, you are getting a one-of-a-kind model that you cannot get anywhere else. For collectors, professionals, or someone just looking for a special ukulele to play, Pop's is the ukulele for you.
