How to Change ʻUkulele Strings

Updated: Oct 20, 2018

Aloha kākou!

Today we're showing you how to change ʻukulele strings. This can be a little complicated, considering that there are many different types of bridges. To help with that, we've decided to teach this subject based on the four most common styles of bridges:

Bridge Pin

Classical

Traditional (Notched/Slotted)

Sandwich

The tools you'll need are:

Peg Winder (with a notch for bridge pins)

Pliers

Scissors (if the pliers can't cut)

Hook Tool (for sandwich bridge)

*If you need the time stamps, please look at the video description in the original YouTube video here.

Mahalo for watching! We hope that this helps!
