Strumming Technique - Mute With Your Left/Fretting Hand

Aloha mai kākou!

Now that you've learned basic strumming technique, changing your tone, muting, and scratching with your strumming hand; it's time to learn a little strumming technique for the left/fretting hand - Muted Strum.

Using your left hand to mute is an absolutely essential part of an ʻukulele player's arsenal of techniques. It allows the player more expression and control over the dynamics of each chord, and it translates to similar control over individual notes for picking.
